I have worn many hats over the years, but being the wife of a great man and a mom to 3 grown children and 2 dogs has been my favourite. 

Being out in nature has always brought me peace; the quiet, beauty and wildlife. I have always enjoyed working with my hands, so learning to tan hides combines both.
 

In today’s throwaway society, I appreciate the value of being able to repair what is broken instead of replacing it, and to make the most of what is available to me. This includes using the entire animal, salvaging what is often a waste product and transforming its hide into a quality fur, rawhide, or leather product.  It is important to me to take the time and use organic materials, free from toxic or commercial chemicals, to create a finished product that is water-resistant, washable and will last for years.
 

I am truly grateful for the ongoing learning this craft is providing, and I embrace the opportunity to share these unique offerings.
