BECOMING is a hands-on experience for women navigating life's transitions — whether chosen, unexpected, welcomed, or difficult.

Divorce, Loss, Motherhood, Empty nesting, Career changes, New beginnings, Rediscovering yourself, Or simply recognizing that something in your life is changing, even if you don't yet know what comes next.

You don't need to have it figured out.

You only need to be willing to begin.

THE EXPERIENCE

Raw Materials. Real Work. Your Own Creation.

This is not a day spent sitting in a room listening to someone tell you how to change your life. You're going to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. Together, we'll explore the work of preparing a raw animal hide — fleshing, stretching, and racking it — before working with previously prepared rawhide to create your own handmade drum.

You'll work with your hands and your whole body. You'll learn, experiment, problem-solve, and create something that didn't exist before. Throughout the experience, there will be opportunities for honest conversation, reflection, connection, and exploring the changes taking place in our lives.

There is no pressure to share your personal story.

No expectation to have the answers.

No requirement to become anyone other than yourself.

Your drum. Your rhythm. Your becoming.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR - Cher Reynen

I've spent years working with hides, teaching traditional tanning skills, mentoring women, building a business, and learning what it takes to create something from the ground up.

​

I've also lived through seasons of profound personal transition. I've had to rebuild, reconsider, navigate uncertainty, and make decisions without knowing how everything would turn out. I'm still doing that work and I've learned that becoming isn't about emerging as a perfectly polished version of yourself. It's about developing the ability to trust yourself, stand behind your choices, and create a life that reflects what matters to you.

I know the work of transformation — both in the hide and in myself.
