Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Wild Heritage Fall Fair & Heritage Makers Market.
Our volunteers are the heart of this event. The success of the event depends on dedicated individuals who share a commitment to community, heritage, agriculture, education, and creating a positive experience for attendees, participants, and fellow volunteers.
By registering as a volunteer, you agree to the following terms and expectations.
VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT
Volunteers agree to:
• Fulfill assigned shifts to the best of their ability
• Arrive on time and prepared for assigned duties
• Communicate promptly if circumstances prevent attendance
• Follow instructions provided by Volunteer Coordinators and Event Leadership
• Conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times
• Contribute to a positive and welcoming environment
Volunteer positions may include:
• Admissions & Welcome Team
• Information Booth
• Parking & Traffic Support
• Vendor Support
• Demonstration Support
• Heritage Feast Support
• Children's Activity Areas
• Livestock & Agricultural Exhibits
• Setup Crew
• Takedown Crew
• Environmental Stewardship Team
• General Event Support
VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION
Volunteers may be required to attend:
• Orientation meetings
• Training sessions
• Volunteer briefings
• Event-day check-in
Attendance at required training sessions may be necessary for certain volunteer roles.
YOUTH VOLUNTEERS
Youth volunteers under the age of 18 may be required to:
• Provide parent or guardian consent
• Volunteer alongside a parent, guardian, or designated supervisor where appropriate
• Participate only in roles suitable for their age and abilities
The event reserves the right to determine appropriate placements for youth volunteers.
CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS
All volunteers must:
• Check in at the Volunteer Headquarters prior to beginning their shift
• Sign in and out for assigned shifts
• Receive role assignments and instructions
• Wear any required volunteer identification provided
ATTENDANCE & RELIABILITY
Volunteers are an essential part of event operations.
If a volunteer can no longer fulfill a scheduled shift, they are expected to notify the Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible.
Repeated no-shows or failure to communicate may affect eligibility for future volunteer opportunities.
CONDUCT EXPECTATIONS
Volunteers are expected to:
• Treat attendees, vendors, exhibitors, demonstrators, sponsors, and fellow volunteers with respect
• Demonstrate patience and professionalism
• Support a family-friendly environment
• Follow event policies and procedures
• Respect diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives
• Refrain from disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior
SAFETY
Volunteer safety is a priority.
Volunteers agree to:
• Follow all safety instructions
• Report hazards immediately
• Avoid tasks they have not been trained or authorized to perform
• Use equipment only when instructed
• Report injuries or incidents immediately to event leadership
Volunteers should not attempt to resolve emergencies independently and should notify designated event personnel when assistance is required.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Volunteers may have access to participant information, event operations, or other non-public information.
Volunteers agree to:
• Respect privacy and confidentiality
• Not share confidential information obtained through volunteering
• Protect personal information collected during event operations
MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY
By participating as a volunteer, you acknowledge that photographs and video may be taken during the event.

Volunteers grant permission for photographs, video, and event-related media to be used for future event promotion, marketing, social media, website content, and community reporting.

ALCOHOL & SUBSTANCE USE
Volunteers are expected to be fit for duty at all times.
​
Volunteers may not:
• Consume alcohol while actively volunteering
• Report for volunteer duties while impaired
• Possess or use illegal substances on event grounds
Volunteers assigned to event duties involving safety, traffic management, admissions, children, or livestock must remain free from impairment throughout their shift.

LIABILITY
Volunteers understand that participation involves activities associated with a public event environment.
​
Volunteers agree to:
• Follow all event policies and safety procedures
• Participate at their own discretion
• Immediately report incidents, concerns, or injuries
Additional waivers may be required depending on assigned duties and insurance requirements.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION
The Wild Heritage Fall Fair values the time, energy, and commitment of every volunteer.

• Community service hour documentation
• Volunteer recognition
• Event access during non-working periods

By registering as a volunteer, I acknowledge that I have read and understand these Volunteer Terms & Conditions and agree to abide by all event policies, procedures, and expectations.
