Experience the whole process of making authentic Rawhide from ethically sourced wild harvested game and the art of crafting your own rawhide drum.
We begin the day with fleshing a Salted hide and Then with a carefully prepared hide you will dehair and rack the finished hide onto a frame to dry. Drums will then be made after lunch using a variety of rawhide, from sheep, goat, beef, and deer depending on your desired tone. Thicker hide will produce a deeper tone. And have their own unique characteristics. To finish off we will create some beautiful Drumming sticks, with raw wool, leather and wild fur pieces.
Dont just walk to the beat, Experience the sound of your own drum as you connect with raw materials and create something from within.
