About the event

New to hunting in Alberta? Not sure where to start? Our Wild Game Conservation & Hunter’s Education course will give you the confidence and knowledge you need to begin your journey back to nature. This  fully certified course will provide you with the know- how to correctly identify your target, laws and code of conduct of Alberta’s hunting regulations, Alberta’s conservation of land and animal and how to  correctly get your game home and ready to process.

This course includes the written exam needed to pass the requirements to hunt legally in Alberta.  Please note: An 80% is needed to pass the exam. To write the exam, a valid piece of ID must be present. (Driver’s licence, Alberta issued ID card with photo, Firearms licence or Birth certificate)

Hunting Course Questions:

  1. How old do you need to be to take this course?-10+ years old

-10 year olds can hunt birds in Alberta. At 12 years old, they are able to apply for draws and hunt all legal animals

  1. What does the course include?-Full instruction on hunting and conservation in Alberta-Manual-Exam for license

  1. Are dates, times and location flexible?-Absolutely. Email me to set up something that will work for everyone 

Do you do courses for homeschoolers?

-Yes. For homeschoolers, we accommodate different group sizes and times.

We also adapt the course for these accommodations and price will be adjusted for what is being offered. Email the instructor to discuss.
